Another early day
1Some things got to give. The boys keep getting up at these God awful hours and can’t go back to sleep.
I ended up on the couch after Emmett climbed onto our bed at the unholy hour of 3am. This is getting old, real fast. Lizze and I need our sleep.

The Squishy Couch
2I’ve received a few questions today about the legendary squishy couch I refer to from time to time. I thought I would explain.
For those of you out there wondering what I’m referring to when I say squishy couch, this one’s for you.
The Squishy couch was born out of necessity. Originally, when Elliott was having a really hard time sleeping and we ended up down stairs in the middle of the More >
Gavin’s 48 hour VEEG: Update
0Lizze has spoken with the doctors today and has learned some new things about what’s going on.
The good news is that the meds seem to be working at this point or he just hasn’t had any seizures today. They went over the first 24 hours of the EEG and said that something interesting.
Apparently, there is a specific brain wave that is present in many kids that have seizures and it’s presents in More >
Surviving Solo: The first 24 hours
2As if this week wasn’t challenging enough, I’ve had to add two more appointments to the ever growing list of things going on this week.
Today, I have some running around to do but I get to drop Emmett off with my Mom for a little while first.
When I’m done, I’ll pick him up and try to get him his nap. Then Emmett and I will pick up Elliott from school. While we’re there, I have to somehow More >
Today’s Victory: 03/15/2012
1Today’s Victory is brought to you by Mr. Elliott Richard. It may be possible that the meds are actually working. I hate even saying that outloud because I don’t want to jinx myself.
He came home from school today, changed his clothes and I found his school binder set out on the couch for me to look through.
This has never happened before.
I only heard him whine once today. Knock on wood but More >
To pooped to play
0Maggie and Bella, the canine members of the Lost and Tired family, have played themselves into a state of exhaustion.
They are both curled up on the couch twitching in their sleep.
Just wanted to share something that put a smile on my face.

Today’s Victory: 02/10/2012
0Today’s Victory is brought to you by Elliott and Emmett. While this moment was short lived, it did occur and so I wanted to share it with everyone.
There was a small break in the chaos today while Emmett and Elliott snuggled together on the couch and played there DS’s.
The peace was short lived as I said already but it was nice to see this nonetheless. I love seeing moments like this, More >
Autism, Curiosity and Discovery
2Awhile ago, I found this giant magnifying glass. Emmett loves this thing and today he went around the house, exploring and discovering cool new things.
He looked at the couch, floor, walls, his fingers, Elliott’s face -which didn’t go over well- and a few DS games.
He is absolutely fascinated with how the magnifying glass makes everything bigger I happen to like how it has peaked his natural More >
Today’s Victory: 02/09/2012
0Today’s Victory is brought to you by yours truly and Mr. Emmett John.
Today has been a pretty crappie day. Elliott’s had a bad reaction to his new medication and Lizze is sick in bed.
However, despite all the chaos, Emmett and I found a little time to snuggle and fall asleep on the couch. Elliott’s is passed out on the other couch.
If I had to find a sliver lining, this would be it.
