A Special Needs Review of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus
0
Samsung, is the first of hopefully many tech companies, to step up to the plate and allow me to review their products from the unique perspective of a special needs parent, who just happens to be a hardcore techy. Not only do I understand the tech but also how it can be incorporated into the lives of the special needs family to assist a child with Autism in More >
A Lost and Tired family Easter: 2012
0The Lost and Tired had a rather dull and boring Easter. Perhaps that sounds bad to some but to a special needs family with 3 boys on the #Autism spectrum, dull and boring is exactly what we need.
Unfortunately, as dull and boring as it was, the boys are still overstimulated and bouncing off the walls.
I decided that it would be best to find a constructive outlet for all their energy. So, I More >
Confession of a special needs father: 04/08/2012
4I haven’t had a confessions post in quite awhile, so this is a bit overdue. For those of you new to my blog, I really try to be as honest as possible, even if it’s not very pretty or makes me look bad.
I really believe that by being honest, I can help someone out that that maybe feels isolated or alone in the way they feel about something.
I also try to remove the stigma attached to things More >
Losing a child to regressive #Autism
2The purpose of this post is to help educate the public as to what it can feel like to be a special needs parent. Well, what it feels like to me to be a special needs parent. I have tried to put into words what it felt like for me to lose my oldest son to the regressive form of #Autism. I wrote this a while back but I think it’s still very relavent.

0I haven’t been able to walk since Gavin and Elliott were in the hospital this week. I going to attempt to make up for that this afternoon by doing about 4 miles.
I don’t have a great deal of time because the kids are a handful right now and Lizze has had better days.
However, as much as I don’t feel like doing this today, I’m going to do this for my kids. A healthier me equals a better father More >
#Autism and those tough holiday decisions
0As the holidays roll around, it may go without saying that difficult decisions will need to be made. As special needs parents, we have to weigh the desire to visit family and friends against doing what’s best for our kids.
For the Lost and Tired family, that decision is never an easy one. With 3 boys on the #Autism spectrum, we have to consider what’s best for them over our personal desire to More >
Mystery Picture of the Day: 04/07/2012
4This is totally off topic but it’s my blog and do what I want.
I thought it would be fun to show you a picture and have you guess what happened. It’s a change of pace and we could probably all use it. So, take a good long look at the picture below and tell me what you think happened. Just leave a comment with your guess and I’ll let you know if you guessed right.

A restless night that ended with…
2Last night was really, really weird. Some how, I ended up on the couch. I think it was to hot on the second floor and I was uncomfortable. For me, I sleep better when it’s colder in the room.
Anyway, Lizze woke me up when she got up this morning and told me to go upstairs because Elliott wasn’t feeling well and needed me.
I snuggled Elliott in our bed for a few minutes before he sat up and More >
