I just wanted to wish you all a Happy Easter.  I hope I don’t offend anyone by doing so. 

To me, Easter is about a fresh start and doesn’t have to necessarily have a religious undertone. Spring is here and the world is coming back to life.  There’s a fresh sense of hope for the future.

I wish you all the very best.  You deserve the very best.  :-)
Have peaceful Sunday and enjoy the time with your families and friends.  :-)

Happy birthday Lizze (2012)

I want to take a minute and wish my most amazing wife Lizze,  a happy birthday.  She does so much for our family that there is really no way to ever thank her for everything.

My goal is to take her out next week,  after payday. It will likely never happen for a 1,000,001 different reasons. Such is life. 

Lizze,  regardless of what happens,  I want you to know how much you mean to us.  Not a day goes by that I’m not grateful that you were born. We are so lucky to have you in our lives and I’m forever grateful for having met you,  even we can’t agree on when our first date was.

Happy Birthday to my best friend and mother of my children.  :-)   I love you..

Happy 4th Birthday Emmett

You only turn 4 once in your life and at 12:30am this morning, it was Emmett John’s turn. I can’t believe it’s been 4 years already. This time last year, Emmett was barely speaking and now he’s having simple conversations. Words will never be able to express just how much I love him and how much he means to me.

We had a rather humble birthday party for him Monday night because we won’t be home tonight in order to celebrate.

We had a special dinner, a birthday cake, presents and a balloon. While I wish we were in a position to do more, he was so happy and that’s all that matters. I even manged to get him a cloud so he could touch it. I found some information online about making a cloud in a bottle. Well, I made one and released it into the air, giving Emmett a chance to touch it.

He was really excited and that felt amazing. It felt like I was able to give him something that he has been dreaming about. :-)

Happy Father’s Day 2012

I want to wish all the Dads and Dad-to-be’s out there a very Happy Father’s Day. I hope your day is the best it can be. 

Mine will likely be quiet.  Well,  maybe not quiet but spent at home. 

We never really do anything crazy.  To me,  Father’s Day is spent with what qualifies me to celebrate in the first place,  my kids. :-)

Everyone’s expectations of what one should do on Father’s Day is different.  So instead of trying to guess I just do this.  I’ll wish you all a Happy Father’s Day and tell you that I hope it’s everything you want.  If nothing else,  I hope it’s peaceful and quiet.  :-)

So much for a peaceful nights sleep

It’s like 4am and we just woke up to a huge fight outside. They are trying to kill each other. We called the police like 20 minutes ago and they still haven’t arrived.. I don‘t think these people live here.  There are cars involved and we keep hearing screaming and people being slammed into the cars and not by the police.

At least Gavin slept through it and the other boys aren’t home.

Have I mentioned how much I don‘t like our neighborhood?

On a side note:

Happy Mother’s Day.  I figured I’m up, I might as well pass that along. :-)
